Ni Ni: Helping by making shoes
“My name is Ni Ni Tun. I’m 21 and from Myanmar. I wanted to join this training because it is one of my personal aims: I want to be a technician because I want to help people who have trouble walking. I’d like to help them with suitable shoes that are comfortable and safe. I used to work as a physiotherapist for a clinic in Myanmar.”

“I’ve never worked in a shoe workshop before, but have experience working with people with special needs. We have a shoe making workplace but no qualified staff or machines to make proper shoes, so that’s why we need to attend this training. After I finish, I will help the people who need it as soon as I can by making them shoes.”
